# Overview (/docs/reseller/your-business/overview)

> Run client accounts from your own product: create them, fund them, verify them, buy them numbers, and control what they can do. All over the API.

A reseller account owns client accounts. You sell Voice AI under your product, and
each client sits one level below you. A client is a separate account with its own
balance, agents, phone numbers, and users. You decide what each one can do and what
it pays.

You run all of it over the API with a single reseller key. That key acts on your own
account by default, and on a named client when you pass `user_id`. Your clients never
have to see our dashboard.

## How the API is shaped [#how-the-api-is-shaped]

Every reseller call is one of three things:

- Something on **your** account, such as a credit transfer or a client list.
- Something on a **client's** account, named by `user_id` or `organization_id`.
- A client-scoped call on a normal endpoint, where `user_id` picks the client. The
  same endpoint without `user_id` acts on your own account.
